Boccia ramps compared - the Lite, Pro-X and Apex

Boccia ramps compared - the Lite, Pro-X and Apex

A boccia ramp is an essential bit of kit for boccia players who aren’t able to physically throw boccia balls onto the court. People competing at all levels use assistive ramps; from friendly beginner matches to the highest tier of international competitions. Each ramp has its own unique features and benefits so it’s important to understand what you might need from a boccia ramp in order to pick one that suits your needs and level of play. Read on to discover the unique features of the Lite, Pro-X and Apex ramps in DEMAND’s range.

Lite ramp

The DEMAND boccia Lite ramp is a lightweight and easily portable ramp that is ideal for beginners and casual players. It is made from durable plastic and has an integrated ball rest to hold each ball before delivery onto the court.

Pro-X ramp

The Pro-X ramp is more advanced and designed for boccia improvers. It is also made from lightweight, rigid plastic but unlike the Lite it features an integral floor stand. The Pro-X ramp adjusts in length which gives a greater freedom over the power of each shot.

Apex ramp

The Apex is suited to experienced boccia players and is made to tackle even the highest level of competition. It meets international World Boccia standards and has the highest level of adjustability, with two removable extensions to vary the power of your shot, and a ball rest that allows you to release a ball from any point on the chute.

The best boccia ramp for you will always depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you are a beginner or casual player, the Lite ramp is a great option. For players starting to play competitively and looking for a ramp with more adjustability, the Pro-X ramp is a good choice. If you are an experienced player competing at national level and above, the Apex ramp is likely to be the one for you!

The Lite, Pro-x and Apex ramp are all available to try out at our workshop in North London. Get in touch with an email to info@demand.org.uk to make an appointment to visit and see which ramp works for you.
